Bruce Johnson Memorial Farm To Farm 5K/10K Run scheduled for April 6

The Stephenson County Farm Bureau Young Leader’s Committee will host the 7th Annual Bruce Johnson Memorial Farm to Farm 5K/10K Race on April 6, 2024.  All proceeds from this event will go to supporting Agriculture in the Classroom efforts in Stephenson County. Entry fee includes race shirt, refreshments, prizes, finisher medals and a swag bag. Shirts and finisher medals cannot be guaranteed after March 22, 2024. The out-and-back course starts and ends at Kent Farms (12662 N. Christian Hollow Road, Winslow, IL). The course runs south on gently rolling Christian Hollow Road to a turn-around and will feature farm equipment displays, diverse farmsteads, scenic country landscape and information signage highlighting Stephenson County agriculture all along the route. All who finish the race receive a finisher’s medal and age group winners (male and female) will receive $10 gift certificates. The overall male and female winners will receive a farm-themed award. Age groups are: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-plus. After the race, enjoy “Breakfast Sausage on a Stick”, fresh fruit, cookies, cold water, chocolate milk and more. Weather permitting, there will be a petting zoo and kids’ activities.
