Coffee and Conversation with Victoria Hansen

Even though Mother’s Day just passed, it is never too late to reflect on what our mothers have done for us. I know I am lucky to have a mother who is willing to help me move more times than I have fingers on one hand, often in miserable temperatures. One move included straight-line winds and torrential downpours. She’s often my call when I am driving home from a late-night meeting. She’s my go to plus one during spring and fall busy season.  Moms are our motivators, supporters and sounding boards. On the Farm, mom’s and wives play vital roles. They are often called upon in all capacities, whether that be to help feed cattle, milk, run to town to pick up parts or bring meals to the field so the planters/combines do not have to stop for more than a few minutes.  I was recently at a scholarship awards program where the speaker told the students to be sure to thank their parents for all they had done for them, even when they were in trouble because that is important too. So, here’s to all the moms out there, thank you for all you do.  We do not tell you nearly enough.
