Stephenson County Farm Bureau has four meeting rooms available for rental to groups and individuals.
All rooms have wireless Internet access, and kitchen facilities are available. Our building is handicap accessible (including restrooms), and tables and chairs are included in the rental charge.
We will have your room set up as you desire upon arrival, and a free city parking lot directly across Walnut Street provides ample parking.
Stephenson County Farm Bureau members in good standing receive a $20 discount when renting rooms.
Please note:
Most of our renters are WONDERFUL, respectful people and take excellent care of our building. As is usual, a few people make it harder on the rest.
A copy of this contract is given as a checklist to ensure your deposit is returned. We had many issues with damage and messes in the last half of 2018. As everyone realizes, it is expensive to replace stained carpets and have plumbers come to unplug toilets stuffed to the brim with toilet paper.
Our staff will be more diligent in checking the building before and after rentals. Part of your deposit WILL be kept for carpet stains (especially dark-colored drinks that are almost impossible to remove from the carpet). We will keep part of the deposit if the bathroom toilets are not flushed and if any sinks are left running. This also applies to the stove left on in the kitchen or the kitchen faucets left running. If extra hours are incurred by our cleaning company to complete extra clean up, your deposit will be kept accordingly.
When you rent a room, you have access to that room and the kitchen and bathroom. If other rooms are used by your group or unsupervised children, we will charge you accordingly for the extra clean-up of those rooms.
It is the responsibility of the last person out of the building to make sure both the Spring Street and Walnut Street doors are locked and securely closed. If a door is left unsecured, that will also result in losing part of your deposit.
We reserve the right to collect damages for items broken through mis-use or blatant carelessness. Whomever signs the contract on the “Renter’s Signature” line of the contract is responsible for the conduct of all their guests.
We truly appreciate our renters and we are just striving to keep our facility at its best for all our members.
Thank you!
