Building supplies for sale

As we prepare for demolition of our rental building on the corner of Walnut and Spring, SCFB is offering many of the building components for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis for reasonable offers. Appointments will be made Monday-Friday from February 2-20 and also on Saturday February 7 and February 14 from 9 a.m.

Stroke Detection Plus returning

We're pleased to welcome Stroke Detection Plus back on Thursday February 5 for another round of their beneficial screenings to determine your risk of arterial blockage and stroke. Screenings will be offered from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Farm Bureau members get a significant discount on the full package of tests. Call (877) 732-8258 to schedule an appointment!

Seats going fast for Vermeer/Lely trip on February 25

The Northwest Illinois Forage and Grasslands Council is sponsoring a bus trip to Pella IA on Wednesday February 25 for a 10 a.m. tour of Vermeer Manufacturing (haying and specialty equipment) and Lely Equipment (robotic milking systems and haying equipment), with a lunch stop at Pizza Ranch ($10 cost on your own). Cost is $30 and space is limited - call the Farm Bureau office at (815) 232-3186 to reserve your spot on this interesting trip!

Demand has been strong thus far for our "American Country Christmas" trip to Nashville and Louisville, planned for November 29-December 3, 2015. We have two busses lined up and the first is basically full after just two preview programs, so don't delay if you're interested. "Stephenson Scenes" calendars now available for $5 each

We're pleased to announce the first "Stephenson Scenes" calendar featuring the twelve winners of our 2014 photo contest. Calendars are on sale for just $5 at the Farm Bureau office and the Freeport/Stephenson County Visitors Center, with proceeds going to the SCFB Foundation benefitting scholarships, teacher grants, and agricultural advocacy efforts.
